Carson Baldes is a 3^rd year Ph.D. student in Chemical Engineering with a focus on photopolymerization. In 2023, he completed a B.S. in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, also at the University of Iowa. Currently, his graduate research is centered around the identification and characterization of natural/bio-sourced molecules for light-based 3D printing. As an Iowa City native, Carson is a lifelong Hawkeye fan in all sports but is a self-proclaimed ‘superfan’ of Iowa Wrestling. In his free time, some of Carson’s hobbies are playing golf and tinkering/home improvement projects.
