Biography
Emily Formella is a fourth-year biomedical engineering undergraduate at the University of Iowa with a minor in chemistry. In the Worthington Lab, she investigates the effects of simulated microgravity on chorioretinal cells to assess the role of mechanotransduction on potential risks associated with long-duration spaceflight.
In her free time, Emily enjoys playing frisbee golf and caring for her goldfish and garden snails.
